No one should ever wear 9 again. They need to retire it and start the statue process the day after the season is over.

I'd much rather they make 9 a thing and let 18 and 7 go. Burrow's # makes those other ones kinda look like a bitch.

That's where I'm at. Retire the number and build the statue as soon as he gets his trophy.

I'm 100% putting something up in Tiger Stadium with his name and number in a ring of honor, but officially retiring numbers is dumb to me.

Agreed, but I'd say let it be an "unofficial" thing for awhile then 5-10 years down the road make a whole ceremony out of it. You really just don't know what his impact on the future is but I have a feeling that LSU football will never be the same.
