Since we are speculating about #18 and #7, #33 has been worn by some greats in recent history. Beckham as a Freshman. Jeremy Hill. Jamal Adams. Who's next? I say Cam Akers.

Sorry. Slow day. But if I was a recruit and I had an oppurtunity to wear the same number of a Patrick Peterson, Tyran Mathieu, and Leonard Fournette, I'd be pumped. Pretty sure it is important to some recruits.

Not understanding the hate for #7 and #18, I think it's a cool tradition. #7 for the best overall player and #18 for the team leader.

I do think that adding more numbers (like #33) will dilute things...you can't have too many of these.

But Jamal Adams is a beast though.

Just for discussion sake. I'm sure the thought us talked about amongst the team.

"What an honor to see my son go to the same school, wearing No. 33, which he didn't want to wear," Beckham Sr. said. "He wanted No. 3 and got e-mails and letters wanting him to wear (33), and it's just an honor to see him out there in it, playing on the same field, with the same number. I'm very proud and very blessed.

No offense, I promise people don't care if Jamal Adams, Beckham, or anybody else wears that particular number. All they care about is getting us out of this funk we are in, getting an offensive coordinator, and re-committing Dylan Moses so he can wear #7...

But to answer your original question...who will wear number 33, probably an incoming freshmen, that particular number does not carry as much weight like 18 or 7.

7 amuses me. Worn by Tiger legends like Adrian Mays, Ali Highsmith (yeah, I know, he was good, but not the best player on the team), Jimmy Welker, and Nobody (there have been several years where nobody was issued #7). And LF as a freshman was the best player on the team? Um... No he wasn't.

I wish white would wear it at MLB that'd be sweet.
