Florida didn't stomp on the eye in 09. They stomped on the eye in 07.

In 09 Florida gathered close to the eye before they went back into the locker room like they did before every game under Meyer. LSU players remembered 07 and thought they were stomping on it again and went to defend it.

Auburn did in 2001 and got a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty before the game started. LSU kicked off from the 50 and pulled off an onside kick that Clayton recovered.

No, they stomped on it and the LSU team came back out of the chute and defended our stadium. I'm certain of it.

Even my dad said, "that's pretty crappy that Meyer allows them to do that."

I wasn't here in '07.

Sadly no, but I'll be near a tv. I get off at 5:30 Saturday afternoon. I'll get home just in time for kickoff.

Yes, they did. Why else would the entire LSU team come back out of the chute?

It was the return of Tebow after the concussion from Kentucky and they were all stoked about having Tebow back.

ETA: Not trying to be a jerk, btw

Because the guys from 07 remembered what Florida did back then. Florida gathered around the 45 like they always did under Meyer. Officials and coaches were standing on the eye. It's on youtube.

It was before both teams officially came out. When they were out there warming up.

The tv feed wasn't on at that time.
