Who knows.

We have two really good catchers with talents that differ from each other.

I'd bat Romero. AJ Puk is a lefty. That's a slider breaking into right handed batters.

You know Paul is all about matchups.

Man..... I don't know. Romero is better at the plate but he was all shook up tonight.

Glad he got focused but I don't know if you roll the dice with him against Florida. I mean if he was that nervous against Tennessee.

Then again, I'm no coach so what do I know.

Keep throwing Romero in the fire. He won't work through it sitting on the bench. I'd rather PM keep showing a little faith in him after all he's done for this team during a period that our pitching/hitting needed help.

That being said, if this was a must-win game, I'd have to go with Pap given Romero's current state of mind.

in a dream world I'd start
C Bryce
DH Beau
LF Breaux
Let Romero breathe a little bit. And have best outfield defense. Beau has been pretty terrible at the plate, I think I saw he's 6-47 in the last month... Breaux never really got to hit after his little showing against Arkansas. I'm just not sure if Bryce has had enough repetition lately to block Lange's knuckle curve.

El presidente of the KRob fan club is right here. Romero has no clue where the ball is. Ever. Right now. Maybe in a bit.

In my irrelevant opinion, Romero is a better overall player than Papierski, and Paul likes the matchups so Romero wins out on that being a righty to Puk's left arm. I know Romero is going through a really tough stretch right now but unless Papierski has shown tremendous improvement himself, I stick with the slumping guy and hope he works himself out of it on a big stage against Florida.

PM has been known to do this in the post season... interesting to see if he continues to do it here.

Right. Forgot about that. Haven't seen him bat to much lately.

Maybe let Romero sit and then pinch hit him later in the game against one of their lefties in the bullpen. But I tend to agree with el, that slider breaking into Romero's hands... If he runs into one it's going to go far. Today that change up from Slumdog Millionaire was stealing his lunch.

Both bat righty because pap switch hits. I doubt either have good at bats against puk. I'd start pap.

In your defense, PM typically likes Pap to bat lefty.

Romero shite the bed tonight unlike any player I've seen in a while. He was like a child playing out there, unable to make anything work. However, he is a proven asset. Let him work through it so he's good for the regional.

Romero couldn't hit the broad side of a barn right now. I hope he finds it. We need him to find it. But he looks pretty stupid out there right now.
