Have been anti-Jimbo from the 1st talks of him coming … disastrous.

These were my sentiments also. I was really hoping we'd hire Kiffin.
BK never crossed my mind as an option. If I'd known he was available, I would have wanted him. It worked out in the end. BK is about to wreck shite.

Jimbo was never in the mix, Riley wasn’t either. Woody had interviewed Kelly when he was at UDub. Everyone was throwing out names. When it got to Riley being hired at USC, that name was off the list. USC made their hire, a few days later Kelly is announced. This was a done deal, if Woody was waiting on Riley, the money he paid Kelly was less than what USC was paying. It was already agreed upon before Riley’s hire.
Woody has always been close to the vest. The money people at aTm wanted Jimbo, they wanted to pay Woody, but they wanted to run things. aTm wouldn’t let him do his job, the move to LSU, this was calculated.
Some were tracking flights all over the US, it was too easy for Woody to let the press create a story.
