I never was really involved in CWS until a couple years ago, but had ALWAYS heard that the fans from LSU were the best. I have consistently found that over the last 3 years - if I'm next to someone in an LSU t-shirt, I know that I won't have the police dragging them out to prevent a brawl (as they did with 8-10 of the Southern MS fans), I won't be subjected to uncalled-for profanity, I will have someone who says "excuse me, ma'am" when they want out of the aisle, and most importantly, I'll have someone who cheers for their team in a sportsmanline manner. In the restaurants, LSU fans open doors for ladies, they say Please and Thank-You, and don't act like Omaha owes them the world. You are the classic "southern gentlemen" (and ladies too) that we hear about!

We certainly don't act this way at football games haha.

I think lsu fans are much different than any other teams fans. We are much more willing to engage the opposing fan and take him in and treat him like he's family. I think it goes to the whole culture of south Louisiana. From what I've seen and heard from every opposing non-sec fan who has visited campus they would all agree. Most sec fans from any school including lsu have a certain degree of hate inbeded in them from birth for most other sec schools.

I've only been in town a few hours but from my observations its purple and gold everywhere! I've only seen one or two horns fans so far. We seem to be in pretty large numbers.

Here in Omaha for the first time. I can tell you it seems that purple and gold out number the baby poopoo orange 10 to 1. However, their game on Friday p.m. was well attended. Tonight, downtown, we found very few opportunities to yellow "Tiger Bait" but many chances to greet fellow TIGERS!!!!! The line for tickets at the stadium this morning seemed to be a sea of purple and gold with only a few spots of baby poo. We shall see tomorrow night how it all plays out as far as fan base......we all know how the game will play out......TIGERS WIN IN TWO!!!!
