During the Kelly to Michigan talk, I started thinking about who we could hire. My choice was Norvell, with all of the “stuff” @ FSU, I would think he’s very gettable. So he would be who I would not want the Gumps to hire.

Alabama’s first hire will prolly be within the family. Don’t be surprised when someone like Demeko Ryans is hired away from the Texans

I would say Urban Meyer.
But think about it. Every AD in the country is supposed to have a list in their top drawer of head coaching candidates in case their guy leaves. But I'm sure Alabama didn't. This day was unthinkable to them.
Their Gump/gut reaction will be to look within. It's all they used to do since Bryant retired. (The Franchione/Price things were outliers and it scared them back into doing that).
I don't care who they hire, though, because anyone would be a downgrade. Hell, even Bryant would be a downgrade.
