who do we root for today?

obviously the ultimate situation would be for bama az and nevada to win today. all that is unlikely to happen but i think alabama has a good shot at beating cam and cams team. but is? auburn losing today a good or bad thing for lsu?

Auburn losing is pretty much irrelevant for us if 2 others ahead of us don't lose. Unlikely. So i'm going to pull for Auburn b/c I pull for the SEC. I wish this game was after the other 2 big ones today

Auburn losing today is the best thing that could happen to LSU. It means no matter what happens next week, with an LSU win, we are in a BCS bowl. If Auburn wins today, loses to USCe, then USCe and Auburn go to the BCS bowls and we are left out even at 11-1.

Root for Auburn to win out, represent the SEC in the National Championship game and LSU to Sugar. The scenario to get LSU to BCSNCG with all other teams is just not going to happen. And what true blood LSU fan could root for Bama anyway.....

Yes Sir, you are correct Tot, that is why I said "root for Auburn to win out". Although I always want the best for LSU I am still one of those that root for SEC dominance second. Selfishly enough I would like to continue the string of keeping the NC in the SEC. If the crystal is not in BR I would rather see it at one of our brothers house than in another conference and get our split of the $, but yes your point is well taken.

Great point. Any true blood LSU fan cannot root for that 2 faced midget. Which is why I will hope that Bama wins, so LSU can make a BCS game; provided we win of course. But, I will not watch it...Or else my LSU instincts will make me hope Cam Newton pistol whips those Gumps!

If they really cheated at AU, it would be awesome for them to lose to Bama and then lose to USCe. IF they went thru all the trouble of cheating all for nothing would be terrific IMHO.

I'm not rooting for Bama, I'm rooting for AUB to lose. If AUB drops two, a 1 loss SEC school jumps any no loss non AQ. But we're playing for the Sugarbowl today. Closest thing we get to a playoff.

Nothing else even matters. If Auburn wins, root for them next week.
The WORST thing that can happen is Auburn winnign today, LSU winning tomorrow and auburn losing next week.

I can not ever bring myself to root for Alabama. I can root against Auburn, but I can't root for Alabama. Since there is no way to resolve this dilema, I'll probably just have a couple of drinks and find a way to cope.

I'm just not that worried about SC beating AU. I think AU is better now than they were when they played earlier this year.

This. I believe if Auburn takes care of business today they are NC bound, only thing that could stop them/deprive them of said accomplishments are the NCAA.
