Who did you root for during the Hallman era?

I mean, we were all still Tiger fans....
But until that glorious day when we found out that we were going to the Independence Bowl, who did you root for?
I liked A&M and Washington. Those were some good times back then for both teams. Well, until the bowl games.

I was a true LSU fan. I was in middle school during the Hallman era, but LSU (and the Saints) was our team so you stuck with them no matter what.

So basically, the TV was turned off once the season ended?

Same as now: underdogs, service academies, and whoever plays Alabama.

While I didn't experience the Hallman Era my guess would be Miami.

Yup. I still came to the games.
But I certainly had friends who now paint their homes in purple & gold switch bandwagons season to season in the 90's. One in particular was a U fan, ND fan, Michigan fan, FSU fan, & Florida fan all within 10 years.
His Facebook is now adorned with banners of "Lifelong LSU fan".
