If Beckwith declares we are so screwed next year on defense.

Miles has some offseason recruiting to do because no one on the soft arse O-Line or defense should declare.

Travin should come back for his 5th year and work himself into a higher round.

Has Beckwith done enough to ensure a high enough spot to go? I agree, we need him at LB next year. Would be a big blow.

Candidates:

Hawkins - redshirt junior?
Pocic - I thought he was a goner, but after last week...
Dural - Likely a goner
LaCouture - Could go
Neal - Ditto
Beckwith - ditto
White - Goner

Hawkins -gone
Pocic - 50/50
Dural - gone
LaCouture - 50/50
Neal - staying
Beckwith - gone
White - gone gone gone

Would be huge to get both Pocic and Lacotre back.

Bednarik and Butkus semifinalist

What that means as far as NFL prospects who knows? But folks leave for 3rd round grade these days.

Beckwith needs to stay. He is not ready to be a pro.

I think Pocic showed Saturday night that he's much more suited to play tackle. I really think he may stay on the condition that they move him.

LaCouture just isn't ready for the NFL imo. Hopefully he stays.

He still has a lot lf things to work on, pass coverage being one imo needing the most work. One more year at LSU can lock him into the first round.

I agree with you, Beckwith still needs to refine his game, but his measurables are undeniable. We all know how much the NFL loves measurables.

The only thing is they draft fewer LBs based on them than they do lineman.

No he didn't. He did fine early. As the line wore out he had olineman in his face, and no LB can play that way.

No, he didn't. FFS, he missed an easy sack on the first drive.

And then he straight up quit in the second half.

No way Hawkins declares, he isn't NFL ready. Chris Faulk, Joe Barksdake , Ciron Black, etc were way ahead of him at this point and were late round, or undrafted.
Dural- would be mid to late round at best
LaCouture- solid but not disruptive enough yet for early entry
Pocic- returns - won't play center in NFL at 6'7
White is the only for sure goner.... Then Neal and Beckwith have a good chance after that to be drafted in the first 4 rounds - White almost sure 1st rx/ early 2nd.
Beckwith could raise his stick with a killer senior year since he will be the leader on D & should wear #18
(Obviously my opinion only watching every game )

The only knock on Kwon going into the draft was his size. Beckwith doesn't have that problem, but the fact remains he is a converted DE with 1.5 seasons under his belt. He could use another year, though if he declares he will be drafted, but why not aim to boost your stock with another year of strength and conditioning & ride the BUGA train wanting to win that 'chip

I could see Dural going if he's not feeling like he's getting the ball. Most others I'd be surprised by. I guess Beckwith and maybe maybe Treon White could go, but we should return a ton next year.

From what I have read recently it seems White has already decided to come back next year which would be huge.
