Offense - Jacory Washington
Defense - Deondre Clark
Big-time sleepers that haven't fit what the HC wanted, scheme-wise... until now.

Idk about his rushing attempts but he did play in a spread offense at IMG with the #1 rated QB in the country in Shea Patterson. So as one poster eluded to, offensive scheme or situation were not the reasons for his low usage rate.
Edit: I hate to sound like I'm bashing the kid. His measurables are off the chart and his letter to LSU fans to why he committed to us immediately made him my favorite offensive recruit last year. I really do think he'll be good, just don't think his high school tape is the reason we should think that, his highlight real probably struggled to reach a full minute in length.

Danny Etling will win the Heisman
Defense
Ed Paris will lock down that safety spot and ball hawk all season. 5 ints

Wrong. I think everyone sees Shea Patterson and assumes they were throwing 50 times a game. It was closer to 16 and they only played a 9 game schedule. Here are some stats which put everything into a better context. LINK

If Darrel Wms. breaks a run of more than 5 yards, it could be the start of something big. That guy looked slow in his first 2 seasons. He's no Guice, or even Brossette.

I like Etling's determination, and work ethic, but he's not Heisman material.

Damn so the highest receptions by any receiver on that team was 17 receptions. Drake Davis was definitely the most impressive. I hate how they have their stats layed out but I found all his individual stats. LINK
In 8 games:
2 carries for 44 yards and 1 td (22 ypc)
11 catches for 431 recieving yards and 7 tds (39.2 ypc)
6 kickoff returns for 278 yards and 2 tds (46.3 ypr)
All purpose yards 753 yards (94.1 ypg)
10 total touchdowns
Those are very good stats when comparing the rest of the players on the teams stats.

Incredible stats for Drake Davis

Well that about puts a dagger in my argument. ??
Seems IMG had to many mouths to feed. And I assume the low pass numbers had something to do with the fact that they:
A) probably had a better Oline than any Dline they faced
B) had a good stable of backs.
C) had a decent lead going into the second half if most games.

well i will send you some flowers
realistically he looks as good as matt lienart did and he was a heisman finalist. I would say he has the tools.

With the new scheme, I am excited for sure!

Offense- Dee Anderson. I think he is going to do great things this year and even more next year.
Defense- "Greedy" Williams and everybody should at least have D White mentioned also. I think he will be an elite inside LB. I don't like leaving off Divinity, Donte, Savion, Tolliver and Paris, so I mentioned them too.
LSU defense is littered with talent especially up front and at DB. One or more of the freshmen coming in (Chaisson, Phillips, Queen and Taylor) will solidify the LB spots with depth. I really think LSU defense will not drop off at all this year given the talent alone, but add Aranda's coaching his second season and this year could be really good.
