My answer would be Javy though.
It is pretty astounding that our catcher defense has regressed with Gibbs on staff.

well at least Grewe had legit college coaching experience....albeit not at the position he was hired to coach though

You can get away with hiring your pets/buddies in FB because you have a bunch of other coaches of to pick up the slack if need be.
But baseball, you need to hire the most qualified candidates available. Period.

This resume' is solid enough to get you the hitting coach job at LSU without any other experience? Not exactly Posey-like career numbers to get to skip on the job training.

Yikes. Gibbs was a great hitter. He raked in 2010 - flirting with .400 most of the season.

The problem isn't the guys he is hiring! It's CPM! He has a hitting philosophy that he makes whoever he hires follow. He said it on the radio about losing Andy C. Was asked how the hitting philosophy would change and he said it has never changed. Doesn't matter who the coach is.
