Eta: Its okay for Kentucky to use the injury excuse, but Jones cant? Seems to be some racial motivation here.

John Calipari

He's also made the Elite Eight 5 of the last 6 years, so I think we can give him a pass.

Yeap your right, which is why the fans wanted to run the white coach out of town after a final 4 appearance. Because of his race.

Always blaming someone else. Johnny needs to only look at himself and his performance as the head coach.

Just imagine it's before the season and I told you we wouldn't even make the NIT with Ben Simmons, a lot of returning players, and a top 5 recruiting class. Seriously, let that sink in.

Give him time. John Calipari wasnt John Calipari over night.

Calipari has some scandals attached to his name, but:

Head coach at UMass, got the team to #1 in the polls, won 5 straight conference titles with 5 straight NCAA tournament appearances. Went to a Final Four. Coached a #1 pick.
(in other words, he surpassed Jones' career achievements while still at his first head coaching gig)

Brief stint as head coach in the NBA.

Memphis- another run of titles and #1 ranking, another Final Four appearance, another #1 pick.

Kentucky- more of the same, minus (so far) the scandals. More #1 rankings, more Final Four trips, including winning it all. More #1 picks.

Comparing him to Jones, even as a joke, just way out of reality

I give him credit for that and he recruits really well, but the SEC has probably been weaker than it has ever been recently. What did we have, three teams in the tourney this year? The SEC isn't real tough right now at all.

Shut up and quit trying to play that card. Johnny Jones sucks whether he is white, black, or orange. He can't coach, doesn't motivate his players, shows no leadership, consistently underachieves, etc...the list keeps going...

I'm so fricking tired of this racial bullshite! Were you not on this board when John Brady was the Coach?

Thank God Les Miles is white...we can criticize him without having to worry about being labeled as a racist.

Curious....

How many LSU basketball coaches got 30+ games a year in their first four years to pad their win totals?

Didn't that team make it to the NIT? That's "a tournament". LSU didn't even do that this year.
