Which Coach do you want gone?

There always seems to be at least 1 coach that us LSU fans turn against. Crowton was everyone's whipping boy for the last year and a half.

I know I wanted Brick gone after his first year. Now, I'm glad he's still here.

I know this might be asking for trouble, but if you had to pick 1 coach that needs to go, who would it be and why?

btw, I like our current coaching staff more than any other we've had thus far including Saban's regime

I don't want him gone, but if I had to pick one, I would probably say Gonzo.

WR coaches should be better recruiters than he seems to be.

Gonzo gets way too much love here. The all around play of our receivers was the worst it's been in years last season.

Gonzo. Overrated recruiter and so far he isn't impressing me as a coach either. Our WRs actually took a step back last year and we also had some piss poor blocking. That is usually something our WRs are at least good at...

Anyways, his position is easily replaced. Plenty of great recruiters/coaches across the nation at his position...

He is the main reason our coaching staff has actually taken a step back in recruiting while everyone else around us is getting better. We need a impact recruiter in his spot...

I will hold judgement on Gonzo til the end of this year. I'm of the opinion that not only did Crowton do a crappy job as a QB coach, but he was an all around piss-poor OC.

I don't know if he finally gave in to all the negativity surrounding him (Crowton) or what, but I just can't see how Gonzo went from being a budding superstar coach at Florida to a POS coach at LSU

Weren't some people thinking Gonzo would be a potential candidate as our new OC or did I just make that up?

TONS of people thought that before 2010.

Don't let anyone re-write rant history.

Well, no doubt he is a overrated recruiter. Seems the only reason he got much stardom in recruiting over in Florida was because of CUM. Product of the system where anyone could recruit to Florida at the time keeping mostly Florida guys instate. Not exactly hard to do when FSU/Miami sucked and Florida was 2 NCs under CUM already.

Our WRs were bad? How can you say that when we didn't have a QB that could get them the ball?

They couldn't block either.

No one. I think the coaches that are currently on staff have done a good enough job to keep doing what they're doing.

Yea and LSU has had a pretty good tradition of blocking WRs. At least since Saban's era. That is usually something you can always rely on to be really good at. But their perimeter blocking was terrible last year. I seen Randle and RS getting straight up manhandled on some blocks. Especially RS.

Shut the frick up! Your running back doesn't gain 1000 yards if your receivers aren't blocking.

If you didn't see the faults WRs did in blocking last then you're blind as hell. Go watch some more tape, then get back to us.

Go punch yourself in the face for thinking I have game tape.
