I was 12. I masturbated for the first time ever that week. I remember it like it was yesterday.

The LSU victory was just the icing on the cake of a hell of a week.

I remember this day well. I was waiting tables at Lonestar Steakhouse on O'Neal lane. All of the TVs in the restaurant had the game on. All of the wait staff and kitchen crew had come out front to watch the end of the game and the place went nuts after that shot. I can't believe it's been 10 years already. Holy shite

At ECA drinking and getting obnoxious texts from my Aggie cousin. I was actually taking an Austin Powers-esque pee when Mitchell hit the shot and I heard my roommates screaming.

Cool story. It just goes to show that there was a time when people in BR were united and LSU basketball was a big deal and was a "must-see" event. Even this year, with all the hype around the program, I went into TJ Ribs on the night of an away game and was shocked that I had to get a manager to change the channel on the TV to the LSU game. LSU basketball just isn't woven into our fabric here like it is in other places.

Go to Lexington during basketball season....I've witnessed it myself. You go into any bar or restaurant and every TV has the UK hoops game on and everyone is watching it.

Kinda like football here I suppose.

Point is, it IS possible for LSU basketball to be relevant in this town, but we are about 10 years removed from the last time it was.

Remember when everyone wanted Brady gone? I wonder what they think now?

Brady ran his course in BR and it was time for him to go. There is no denying that and he brought it on himself.

That having been said, I now have a greater appreciation for what he accomplished with a couple of his teams. I have long been one to undersell his accomplishments here, but now that 10 years have passed and I see what the other two coaches have done since, I can concede that Brady had it rolling here for a little while.
