One of my favorites to watch highlights for when I'm craving some football. The swings in this game were crazy. I'm still amazed that the 4th down td pass to Doucet to tie it even got to him. Definition of threading the needle. Demetrius "Boyd" catching the bomb from Flynn. Chad Jones wrecking Wilson's world at the end, forcing the turnover.

Back then I played basketball with a hardcore bama fan and it was fun to watch him attempt to talk about that game. Just kept shaking his head

Highlights

Ready for it. LET'S GEAUX!!!

It was a great win for sure, but it was also a sign of things to come and it was pretty obvious what had just happened.

Saban took a team full of shula's soft as charmin recruits and pushed the Nation Champion favorites to the brink.

The best play of that whole year was Ali Highsmith taking Todd Boeckam's face off in the national championship game

Not very high. I saw that in one season, National Champion LSU needed a 4th and 4 conversion with 2 minutes and some change to spare to beat a 7-6 Alabama team.

Boy did the Tide turn...

I'm going to say later that the 2016 win was bigger.

Was a junior in highschool in a truck full of buddies on the way to a party listening on the radio when doucet scored on that 4th down. Went so nuts we almost wrecked

Many bama fans say that's the loudest their stadium has ever got when arenas ran that punt back

To answer your question, yes it was an exciting game but bama was not good that year and it would have been a significant upset if we were to lose. 06, 10, and 11 are all ahead of it for me

This game ranks behind VT, Auburn and Florida from that year alone. Man, that was a fun year.....

And in 2014, a 11-1 Bama team needed OT and a bullshite penalty to beat an 8-5 LSU team.

I didn't like that game. It was eye opening that after just under 2 seasons Bama had become a national player again. LSU was at its peak then but you could clearly see what Saban was building.

It's sad to think that LSU has only beaten bama 2 times since then. We conceded the west to them after that game.

I'll always remember Craig Steltz jarring the ball loose from the Bama receiver on 4th down to seal the win.

Great game! I've asked this question before on the Rant. Never got an answer. What exactly was the personal foul that Hester commited on Jackson after the interception that Jackson almost ran back for a TD? (at the 10:02 mark) Did Hester punch Jackson? Was it for tackling Jackson out of bounds?

Hope every LSU fan can some day experience walking around Tuscaloosa after a win like that. Thousands of fans pouring out of the stadium with their heads hanging. Great win and scene. Doucet with the dead leg.

One of Matt Flynn's worst games. Hester and Jones were money.
