I think if Florida has all their players in the fold they are the best team and odds on favorites.

Kentucky has underachieved a bit perhaps to this point Re: percieved talent, but it's still hard to bet against them finishing lower than second until proven otherwise.

My early thoughts would be the battle for us would be for that next spot with the likes of Missourri and Tennessee. Arkansas could potentially be a candidate to break into that battle, as they did have some good showings in their OOC schedule.

I'd put my money on us finishing up around the 4 spot at 11-7 with a shot at 12-6..

I would like to lean more towards 13-5 due to sheer talent but at the moment, we are just too inconsistent…if we start clicking like we did in 2006 and finished 14-2, I could easily see us dominating…don't forget, our OOC record was 8-5 that year

11-7 is realistic but would that even get us in the dance? that would put us at double digit losses assuming we don't win the SECT.

right now, 12-6 seems like the best answer but I wouldn't be shocked at 10-8 nor would I be shocked at 15-3

hope so that'd be a pretty decent season considering where we've come from.

I'm just not sure what kind of SEC road team we'll be zealot. That Tech win was a bit shakey and I'd compare Tech to a Texas A&M or Vandy level team.

Yeah, I think 11-7 and we have to win at least one in the SEC tourney because 11-7 either means we didn not beat any teams we were not supposed to beat or we lose to a team or teams we should not have lost to.

I'd be a bit disappointed in 10-8. I know that might sound trite given I picked 11-7 as my most likely outcome, but I'd see 10-8 as not winning any games in games we would be seen as underdogs in and losing a game or maybe two we should not.

15-3? Man, i'd be on cloud 9.

No way this team loses more than 6. This is a GREAT team. They have everything on this team needed to make a run, most importantly depth.

Not ready to say Great yet North. But I'd love it if you are right.

I think some of our bench players need to be more consistent (Quarterman and Morgan particularly). If they develop that, then I think they can approach great. I think great is a relative word. What exactly does "Great" mean to you in the context of this years team?

I say great relative to LSU basketball in the last 20 years. I think they have a ligit shot at winning the sec. To me the likelihood is 14-4. Not sure where that lands them but they're certainly capable of it. I'm not a "basketball guy", but I've had season tickets for the last 11 years and I never miss watching a game. This is by far the most complete team weve had in that stretch.

In that context I could agree as LSU has won two outright SEC titles in the last 20 years, or 3 if you count the shared title in 2000.

14-4 and an outright title would seem a bit optimistic to me though given our schedule. Kentucky twice, with Florida, Ole Miss, Bama and Arkansas on the road with no home return game and Mizzou and Tennessee at home not exactly gimmies.

However, I'll concede North, if we go 14-4 I would consider it a "great" team and season.

In actuality I think 14-4 would only be good enough for 2nd or 3rd but would probably get us a 8-10 seed in the NCAA

LSU winning the SEC in Johnny Jones 2nd year. Kentucky and Florida not running through the conference this year like they usually do. Some of those road games this year ain't going there way. It's wide open boys so get ready for the ride to the top. We will be in contention all the way until the end.

Actually, Florida always seems to drop a couple of regular season games they should not no matter how talented, and Kentucky seems to be struggling just a bit to find some chemistry among the superstars.

I think 14-4 might well be good enough, but I don't think we'll quite get there.

But I'd love it!
