Miles is my all time favorite LSU coach, but time to go.

I will go with the Win Out or Get Out but like Broham is saying , can't see us winning out so time to move on.

I've been a negatiger for years. So at this point I just hope that both parties are able to let this end gracefully. Les has done a great job keeping LSU relevant after Saban. We have been nationally relevant (generally) for a decade and a half now. That has been great, but it is time to just let it go. We will be the premier job on the market with at least one amazing candidate on the market. Now is the time to strike.

Well said.

that secret playbook might glorious. Have to push to see it pulled out.

We talk about Harris, but the coaches know who they have. Just like Wisconsin knew their qb. Let him do stuff he is good at. Kid is talented. Flawed maybe, but has the arm talent.

Just ready for him to be gone now so there can be some closure.

Don't want to deal with the uncertainty all season.

No point in ditching him until the season is over. He has won a National Championship and gone to another. Give him the dignity to finish a season and the chance to walk away under his own terms (if he wants).

Getting an Interim Coach isn't going to stop any "uncertainty."

This is fair and then you have the mess of what to do with the interim coach. He deserves respect and dignity in my opinion.

I'm numb. I was mad for about 24 hours but at this stage in my life I just can't stay mad. Whatever happens, happens. God Bless America

I've been saying the same all week. It would be an unprecedented move for a coach of his tenure at a program like LSU. They all get to leave at the end of the season. The same will happen for Miles if it happens at all.

ETA: I don't really know why that seems to upset so many people. It is simply a fact that elite programs don't fire coaches midseason when they've been there for 10+ years.

I think if it goes ugly you could try the firing for a bump.

I mean what does firing him before the season ends get you? You can go through back channels to start negotiating before the season is over anyway. Firing Les isn't going to suddenly make Cam competent; let him have his farewell tour for all good he did (prior to 2012)

A bump for what? We aren't going to the SECCG.

Agreed, I know that almost every college talking head has said nothing has changed and it's sad to see. That says it for me

None. You're not hiring Herman or Fisher in Week 5, but logic doesn't have much of a place on this board.

I just want Jimbo or Tom Herman

Mentally, I have moved on...

I am done with Coach Miles

A disappointing hire will depress me further...

Honestly, I just want to enjoy watching LSU football again. It's been years...

When I know the play call from my living room, It's no fun...when you see the guys struggle and punt the football most of the first half.

I am tired of never landing a great QB...we just haven't had it in so long where our QB had some star power...JR was the last one...MF was the best we had in the golden era...JR then Mett....One year out of Mett....

no fun being the laughing stock of college football

I would have rolled excited into early November and then sad because I didn't see it coming meanwhile I had a pit in my gut all along

I have been pretty miserable for the last few years because even the wins have been ugly. Les has the ability to keep any game close regardless of the talent on the other side of the field.

Nothing wrong with that. He is a great person and a great ambassador for LSU and Louisiana, but he gets paid to win football games...and he hasn't won very many lately.

oh yeah if Alleva flew me in tomorrow and said listen you are going to meet your favorite all time coach, but bad news we need you to cut the cord I would do.

Man it is a real honor to meet you. You are my favorite ever coach. Unforunately I am not here for autograph (ps I still want one)
