09 won cws without a reliable third starter. Having said that, coleman and ranaudo were better than poche and lange. Although lange will probably be the best of the 4 when its all said and done.

Our 3rd starters, Bain and Godfrey are a combined 8-2
Almost every other team has a similar or much worse option as a 3rd starter.
I am FAR more concerned about the closer role. We have a great enough bullpen.

This! I just don't see that person we can count on to come in when you need those two or three outs to close out a game.

Bugg or Newman are the best options. Every team in Omaha will not have better than an average 3rd guy. The games will likely be close either way as they were last time we were there
