Knowing him he will not name a starter and Harris will be starting Saturday. I hope I am wrong.

The starter named himself in the second quarter last Saturday.

I'm not sure there's any benefit to naming a starter publicly. Especially with the SEC schedule starting. I'm sure the team will know, but no sense telling Mississippi State.

6-of-14 (0-for-6 in the second half) doesn't exactly solidify your position as a starter.

We have seen this same scenario before in the past many many times with Miles. I give Harris a 70% chance of starting. 30% for Etling is being generous.

I think Etling starts, with a short leash.

Care to post Harris's numbers for 5 quarters this year?

Like when he benched Jennings and named Harris the starter for Auburn and literally everyone on this board applauded and was happy?

He has been awful, we know. But this is Miles we are talking about. He hasn't been convinced during weeks of practice, I doubt he makes the switch after 1 quarter against JSU.

he has to start etling, or there will be a riot. but I believe he still wants harris in and will put him in quickly if the offense struggles.

miles has his qualities, but he also has deficiencies, just like everyone else. I don't know what miles wants in a qb and how he picks his favorites, but once he picks them he wants to stick with them.

...Lee/Jefferson back and forth

and how many games did it take to make the switch with Harris from Jennings?

Harris looked great against Ms St, but Jennings still got the start against NMST

so it took 2 games before Miles switched then

So that's one example. And both were below average

A whole 2 games

So "many many times" now equals once

He won't and that's the right call. You'll know when Mississippi State knows, as LSU takes their first offensive snap. Why would he help the opposition's preparation for the game?

Yeah, let's blame him hard for receivers dropping good passes. Damn him for not wedging it in Jeter's face mask so it couldn't be dropped.

He really made MD look bad by hitting his hands like that. Do you think he cost MD a shot at the draft?

If he had completed 5 more passes....

Except for the fact that those numbers were better than 5 quarters under the "starter"

Ok twice. Once where he benched the starter and put in the backup...and the other they were both about equal. And he only benched Lee after he threw 2 interceptions against Bama.
