I know that the Tigers used to play Ole Miss and Miss St in Jackson many years back but I can't remember when they stopped. I want to say late 80's but maybe a 90's game got thrown in somewhere.

I assume that Memorial Stadium is still around, probably being used by Jackson State.

Thanks, now that I think about it, I spent about 5 minutes trying to watch that 92 game with Ole Miss.

Anyone that wants to complain about anything regarding this year's season should be forced to sit down and watch 1992 replays. That'll change your mind quickly.

Went to college in Jackson. Jackson State gets maybe 15-20K a game in the stadium. Its a pathetic waste but the stadium really hasn't had any significant improvements over the years either. No real reason to want to play there as pretty much Jackson south is USM fans and Jackson north is split UM/MSU. If you live in Jackson, drive your happy arse to which ever you choose, but they won't be coming back to that shitty stadium anytime soon.

I went to my senior year of high school in the Jackson area, plus two years at a nearby junior college.

Jackson was bad then, and it's gotten a lot worse. My brother married a Mississippi girl, and tells me horror stories after they go back to visit his in-laws.

Thank god LSU doesn't play there anymore.

Saints and Colts played a Pre-season game there a couple of years ago. It was terrible the fans couldnt even get in the stadium bc they only opened one entrance. It was half empty till half time and by then all the starters were taken out.

Not even close.

Jackson is a hell hole. A lovable hell hole, but a hell hole nonetheless.

Little Rock is a very nice placed compared to Jackson. Especially downtown LR, the Palaski heights area, the Arkansas river, nearby mountains, etc...

Jackson only has a dormant volcano which is the excuse for why everything in this city is fricked up and subpar.

Me too.

Remember I said "lovable hell hole" lol. The whole "volcano" excuse gets old after a while.
