we pretty much owned them in the 90's. If I remember correctly Kennison returned a punt over 100 yds in a 40 pt blowout one year

2000, when Fred Smoot brought in a ranked bulldog team into BR? Awesome OT win by the Tigers

I would say 2000. I believe Miss State was ranked 14.

Definitely 2000 when we won in OT. 2014 against Dak, we were favored and got our arse kicked.

That was 2014. LSU was a 9.5-point favorite.

Does anyone remember LSU scoring 19 unanswered in the 4th to make the bulldogs pucker?

We were favored by 9.5 and ranked 8th.

I believe they were unranked when we played.

Nope - LSU was at home ranked 10th and State unranked. Dak was off the radar until that game and then blew up after doing the same to A&M, Auburn, KY, and Ark the next 4 games.

It was likely 2000. LSU was unranked and MSU was top 15.

We were definitely the underdog in 1998, MSU was 5-1 and eventually won the West. LSU was 3-3 and did not win another game that season after beating State 41-6 in October.

LSU was a 7-point favorite in that game.

According to Oddshark, the last time LSU was a home dawg to Mississippi State was 2000 when the Dawgs were 5.5 point favorites. LSU won the game 45 - 38.

You know everyone is talking about MSU and the air raid. Decent defense. But, they have a major task containing JD and our receivers. If Emery shows up, which I think he will LSU wins going away. Home dog does not sit well in the players mind either. Plus I think our secondary is better and defense overall. I think they are trying to get everyone to take MSU but its a trap. LSU wins.

1998. And we still kicked their arse, 41-6.
