When LSU lost to Bama,

We were number 13. We dropped 11 spots down to #24.
Auburn was number 13 when they lost to bama and they should drop 11 spots.
That means we would only have to jump higher than 24.
I know it's a long shot considering auburn won head to head but I think we jump them in the rankings tomorrow. (I know this has been discussed in other threads but I don't think anyone has mentioned how far each team dropped in relation to their loss to bama)

The committee groups similar teams together and ranks them to get their top 25. At least this week Florida and Auburn will be in or around LSU's group. LSU lost to both. So LSU is fricked. At least this week. We'll see what happens after Florida loses again.

You drop below other teams not a mathematically set number of spots.

I know this. Just saying if the committee drops auburn as much as they dropped LSU after bama, we could be in.

LSU lost at HOME.
Auburn lost AT BAMA.

Here's the deal LSU for whatever reason isn't looked at as good. Idk why bc if we played any of those top teams it would be a good match. LSU rarely gets the benefit of the doubt and doesn't get much hype from anyone. We are hated on for some reason and it's just the facts. We get screwed on many occasions including that auburn game and we screw our selves on many occasions like not firing Miles, which leads to Wisky and Auburn and then you have the game against FL which we screwed ourselves again. Between us doing it to ourselves and everyone else loving to do it you have a team that really should be with the top ten not even in the top 25. It's nuts and it's extremely frustrating!

The ranking committee have been a disaster this season.
Its easily the worst effort since it began in 14. Not just from an LSU perspective but across the board.
My biggest issue is that their priorities constantly change. One week its non conference, next its best win, next its head to head, then its strength of schedule.
Its become too flimsy.

The only rankings that actually matter are the last ones.

Better get your Memfart Bowl tix. We do not deserve the Sugah Bowl. Had we handled business in our yard vs Flawduh, then yup we should be thinking NO.

This is not how I see it at all. Yes we have been talked about negatively from a political stand point but from a x & o stand point I think we been thought about favorably just look at our preseason rankings...but to contradict myself we do get penalized heavily with loses

Auburn got dominated
LSU didn't get dominated
LSU didn't get dominated

I told everyone this was going to happen when they went to the College Football AdMarket...I mean, Playoff Committee. This is what happens when you take away mathematical formulas and introduce human "error". Which is really just human "conscious, willful and corrupt bias"

The BCS formula was reasonably objective. When they put human beings solely in charge of this, I knew it would be both corrupt and "flimsy" to borrow your words.
"Whatever it takes to get Bama and Michigan into the finals." Or something to that effect.

That is because we were over ranked to hype up ratings for the game. Remember it was CBS's only prime time game of the season. We had made an odd and tremendous jump in ratings the week before. It was really #1 vs. about #18/19 at the time, but #1 vs. #13 looked a lot more appealing to the rest of the country. Once the game was over, reality set in.
