When I was a student at LSU

the football team was awful. I was a student for 5 years and never missed a home game. We only beat Alabama once in those five years. I lost my voice during that game and drank a lot of bourbon afterwards. LSU went to 0 bowl games and had a record of 5-6,5-6,2-9,5-6,and 4-7. Anyone who thinks Les Miles is a bad coach never had to endure Curley Hallman. This Saturday stand up in Tiger Stadium and yell like hell! Be damn proud of this football team and show them your support! BEAT BAMA!!!!!!

I was at those same games. Just keep acting like your happy we are winning. Don't set the standard really high and have unrealistic expectations like winning an impossible 6 team SEC West Division.

Getting to see games like this is roughly 45% of why I chose to come to school at LSU. I have not been able to focus on anything in class all week. I am going to be screaming my head off and if I have my voice back before late Tuesday, I know I have failed as a fan.

This. One year, I missed one home game against Tulane (really wanted to go, was on my way but totaled my car on the drive there so had to skip it).
One year we were beating Vandy by some ridiculous score in rain that was coming down in buckets. The stadium was practically empty but we stayed & screamed anyway (the players had to, why not us?)
My last year, we were 4-7 at the end of the season, so no bowl. In previous years, we'd been glad to go to the Independence Bowl.
7-1 feels nice.

I went to Bama last year. That feeling after that loss, after Peterson got robbed was about as bad as any loss I've seen LSU endure.

If you are lucky enough to be in that stadium and you can't bear not to be an emo ****, just don't go. Sell your tickets and go cut yourself. Do your team a favor and please, don't go.
