I think the announcer probably just missed it. They definitely say ‘please stand and remove your caps as we honor America….’ In other LSU events.

I did not use the verb “demand”. I used the verb “tell”, which is accurate. “Please stand” is telling someone, albeit politely, to do something.

But more importantly, did you enjoy knocking over that strawman you built?
