What's your scheme against LSU's D?

It's the offseason, so naturally every LSU player is an unbeatable "beast" in the mind's eye of every Tiger fan. So how do you gameplan against this "Cajun Iron Curtain"?

Double routes when Jefferson is in man coverage?

Running zone-reads to the wide side, where a true freshman has to set the edge?

Power-I into the gap away from Beckwith?

What say The Rant?

Not following that one. Which gap?

between guard and center.

Basically, I'm insinuating that you run at Duke instead of Beckwith.

Do we really know what LSU's D will look like? How you planning on scheming if you have no film?

So opposite A gap of Beckwith. We in trouble in Beckwith can't make that play as well unless its something quick hitting like 21 dive.

You can't really run a power I away from a middle line backer. The middle linenacker can make a play on any run play between the tackles

Prayer!

On a serious note...

They have to get Clement going, and certainly won't win with their QB carrying their team. Building his (QB's) confidence early with screens, short and intermediate hooks and dig routes, TE stuff... things of that nature. They will try to get the QB more confident, while hoping to open things up for the running game. Well, they will at least try...

Even with Aranda at the helm, they will realize how many coverage breakdowns we had last year, and will try to exploit some on maybe one of the weaker guys in coverage (Jefferson). They know they wont have much time for their QB to take deeper shots, so they wont try a lot of high risk stuff, especially early on.

It will be a fun game to watch.

Agree. I see them coming out trying to get Clement going, but mix in some dink & dunk.

Have a great running game that sets up the PA and have a semi athletic TE too

I'll substitute scheme for strategy: control the clock even it means early FG's instead of TD's. Force the LSU D to prove it's depth can hold up beyond 3 qtrs.

None of us really know how this D is going to look this year. I would think the best way to go at us would be to spread us out(this spreading out our playmakers) and dink and dunk on us.

I really don't think they do. I have not seen anyone run it at all in many years.
