The number of successful running plays with the QB either under center or in the pistol can be counted on one hand.

Scott doesn't excel out of the shotgun which the only place we've run the ball effectively.

The OL is having a hard time run blocking b/c defenses know we aren't going to throw a lot of long balls. JJ is good but young. Once this comes around, we're going to be dangerous.

He's really just alright, not good

if he was truly good, we wouldn't be rotating RBs so much

Not good? 1,100+ yards & 18 TDs last year, All-SEC team.

that one play on second down he ran straight up to the pile and tried to just lay on top of it, had he cut outside 15-20 yards but he still chuck the truck

Guess he was waiting to be tackled. The replay showed he was untouched and was just sitting there.

I agree with the fact that the line play is lacking, but other backs across the nation are getting yards behind offensive lines that are not as strong as ours. Scott needs to step up his play, if he has any NFL hopes.

I have never worried about the backs that we didnt get like McKnight, Richardson, etc.. We can't sign everyone. However, We have so many of the right pieces to the championship puzzle, we need to get that once in a lifetime running back in 2010 or 2011.

I like Williams a lot. And if Scott dosen't come around in the next two games, then I am ready to start the Ford era.

I hope he didn't pick up the "Justin Vincent" flu.

Every defensive coordinator knows that Scott will not run outside the tackles, so they load up the interior and stuff it. Since there are no holes for him to bust through, and he's not fast or nimble enough to cut it to the outside, he just tippy-toes into the line hoping it will magically open up for him.

I saw one one run where there was nowhere to run and he tiptoed and pushed into the pile to little effect, and I saw one or two other runs where he slammed into the pile and didnt' get much... but I also saw a few plays where he slammed into players and picked up between 5 and 10 yards. He just didn't get as many carries last night. And since KW was effective it worked out.

Teams are loading the box right now, but we'll take advantage of that at some point and back the defense up.

Why not now?
