I keep thinking he will start hitting, but man I think he's only batting .222 now.

he will come around...but he's obviously trying to pull everything and pitcher's are getting him out with offspeed pitches...seems like his timing on the breaking pitches is off..it seems he's always out in front

people forget that he wasn't hitting all that well at the beginning of last year, either. I really think he'll round into form by late April or early May.
Thankfully, guys like Ochinko and Hanover are really picking up the slack. Seriously, who would have thought that Ochinko would be hitting like he is? He's having an SEC MVP type season so far.

To be fair he has hit some shots into the outfield that the other team has made some great plays on. I dont know anyone that thought that ball was going to be caught last night. The rest of the time he is popping the ball up which he needs to work on.

I have already said this before, all he needs to do is move up in the batters box 6 inches and all will be fixed, he is just not making the adj.

its starting to get old hearing every announcer say "I bet here is where he breaks out of his slump I can feel it" and then blake pops out in the infield

I think PM is doing the young man a disservice by not sitting him for a few games and let him just simply watch and relax. It will help him with so many mental aspects of the game. SIT HIM DOWN.

Your position in the batters box is based on the situation and the pitcher. It shouldnt be the same every at bat.
