Has there been any indication on how he did in Saturday's scrimmage, or how he's performed in summer/fall practice generally? Just watched over some of his highlights from high school and LSU's spring game. Dude looks like a man amongst boys...and only a freshman. I know we're loaded with young talent in the backfield, but DAMN!

Read somewhere he broke a long one from the FB position During the scrimmage, but he's not the starter and from all accounts were going to more spread, so there's just not a lot out there on the FBs other than the depth chart.

Dude could tote the rock anywhere in the country. I hope he gets his chances.

His acceleration for his size is incredible.

I told people months ago that he's like a bigger Nick Chubb.

The size and speed combo for Fournette, Guice, and Ducre are freaking ridiculous! It reminds of McFadden, Jones, and Hillis, but our guys have the potential to be better.

Read somewhere that JD Moore was beasting at FB for yesterday's scrimmage. Ducre will end up playing RB down the road, so him playing at FB will be similar to all the other LSU RB's that were in the same situation. I'm excited to see how Moore, Upchurch, and Mouton are at FB.

Also to consider for next year is Melvin Jones, who still lives on campus and is trying to get back on the team. Though if that happens I'm hoping he gets a chance on defense.

I doubt Melvin Jones will play D if he comes back. He was very good at FB. IMO he was a better catcher out of the backfield than Connor Neighbors. Hopefully he comes back and wrecks havoc. Our RB and FB spots would be STACKED!!!

Right on. I know highlights necessarily show the best stuff, but in every one, he was either running around or through people, if not not already leaving them in his dust. Seeing that got me psyched for the season, so I wanted to see what the Rant knew. Thanks all for the comments. GEAUX!

New defensive staff might want him. Chavis never really fought to keep him on defense. But yeah I can easily see him going back to FB.

I kinda disagree with this. Jones had way more potential that Neighbors, but only put it all together for a few games and was inconsistent too much. JD Moore and Mouton played TE in high school, both have good hands, same for Upchurch who was a receiver. Ducre also has elite potential with the ball in his hands. We need Jones on defense way more than at fullback
