What's the story behind McGlothern's transfer?

Was it an academic, discipline or another issue? With the Arky game coming up it's an interesting story line with him going to Arkansas and Brooks and Foucha coming here.

It looks like statistically he's doing well. 30 tackles, 3 INTs (leads team) and 1 FF. He's the best of a bad secondary.

From what I gathered he was late to meetings and suspended for the bowl game.

Showed up late to the very first team meeting and Kelly told him to pack his bags

He was one of those unfortunate cases of a player that another team gets to benefit from the harsh lesson you have to teach them.

Isn't it funny how Arkansas had all the momentum in the world coming in and has fallen flat, while LSU was greatly behind the 8 ball and is at the top of the west. Arkansas takes the guy who isn't team first, while LSU lets him walk. It's almost as if culture really does matter. We had forgotten that.

Nudie wasn't aligned. He still thought O was running the show and could be late to meetings.

I believe Trey Palmer was the one who showed up late to Kelly’s first meeting and Kelly gave him his walking papers.

McGlothern was the one getting into it with Jake Flint, missing workouts and meetings

Also, Landon Jackson is starting for them at DE. He has a few sacks and isnt playing horrible.

Wasn't McGlothern late to Kelly's first meeting and Palmer was late to the first workout?

As great of players both he and Trey Palmer are they were the prime examples of the toxic culture Orgeron created in the locker room. No discipline and “I can show up on my own time” attitude.

Stats can be very deceiving, the few games I’ve watched him he got burnt looking into the backfield or against guys that could run and he couldn’t turn and recover.

He’s not overly athletic and has to take a lot of risky angles to make a play. Real risk v. Reward type of player.
