Gotta go with the '99? loss at Tiger Stadium to U of Houston. That was the nadir of LSU football for me. Sure... the other losses mentioned in this thread may be, historically, more meaningful because there was more at stake. But some were against a superior conference opponent - others we maybe 'should' have won but for mistakes. However, the Houston game was the first time I have seen an LSU team quit. Praise to Emmert for making a 'damn strong' call to fire Dinerdo the next Monday.

probably mine would have to be arkansas 07. at the time it looked like we screwed ourself out of a national title shot.
runner up would have to be arkansas 02 which cost us a trip to ATL.
obviously the auburn fiascos in 04 & 06.

The drunkest, saddest, and most angry i've ever been at a Tiger game. To top it all off, our pipsqueak coach got owned at midfield afetr the game, in our house, by frickin' Dennis Franchione. Puss.

58-3 is one of the worst.
The loss to Ole Miss the week after beating #1 Florida is another.
The 31-0 loss to 'Bama is up there.
The worst two IMO though was either the 44-3 spanking from Miami or the 45-7 drubbing by TAMU when Hill and McElroy ran wild.

LSU/USuCk in '79. Lost my voice for 2 weeks from yelling at the game, and my hearing still isn't right to this day.
Tigers had that game, but like so many in that era, it slipped away.

1979 USC-LSU
L 17 - 12
there is not a close second.
the most energy game in BR ever.

2002 Arkansas and 2004 Auburn probably tie.

There's so many but I'll start with this gem.
The 2002 Bama game with Little Nicky when Bama ran the same draw play 65 times and drilled us 31-0 at home.

02 Arkansas hurt really bad...not only did we have them beat, but they WAY we lost - I think prior to the two passes Jones completed on the last drive, he had literally completed two passes the entire game because I'm thinking he wound up like 4 for whatever (two of which came in the last drive....webster i think got burned on both)....can't believe this game didn't get more votes because we were headed to atlanta....
31-28 loss to Tulane in the mid 80's in a very cold rain (we had just beaten Fla state the week before, got an O Bowl bid, and committee apparently said just please beat Tulane)....that one was hard to stomach too....
The Jamie Howard interception game was about in a class by itself as far as blown losses go, but seeing's how we sucked then anyway, the pain is a little lessened - not like it cost us a championship or anything.....i know alot of people the swore LSU watching LSU off after that game until Curly was gone....

I'd say last years lost against Arkansas

UAB game. or the alabama game a few years ago. forgot what year it was. it was a home night game under saban and it was like 0-0 at halftime and bama kept scoring the second half and ended up beating us like 23-0 or 23-3.

I'll have to say Miami in "88. Got a butt-whippin' and soaking wet from the downpour.
