Because the ONLY time LSU wears purple jerseys is shitty non conference home games and shitty conference home games (MSU home games). It's really pretty simple.
We're playing in a nationally televised ESPN game against a top 20 opponent in a game called "The Cowboys Classic". We ain't wearing purple.
