Every year that LSU has been in it, there has been some controversy.

2003 - Oklahoma in over USC
2007 - LSU first 2 loss team
2011 - Bama getting a mulligan from the first game
2012 - ?

ETA: Fixed typo.

Was a fluke that LSU dominated Bama by 35 and USC dropped one to a school that winds up not bowl eligible. Regardless, they should still play in championship over undefeated LSU.

Unfair advantage for SEC team playing outside in Miami over a team from a cooler climate. Yes...even in January.

one loss alabama gets in over undefeated LSU. NS makes the rounds convincing everyone that they would have beaten LSU if played on neutral field and convinces everyone that Georgia really outplayed LSU in SEC championship.

But that is unlikely.

USC gets into game over an undefeated Louisville by riding the wave of a thorough defeat of Oregon despite losing at Utah a month earlier.

ESPN built the SEC into the powerhouse it is today with its bias. Therefore, LSU had an unfair advantage.
