I don't know about that. They got shite-kicked 40-3 in Atlanta then went 7-6. It was time for him to move on.

Im just saying the grass isnt always greener. Very few programs have sustained success like Miles did after saban, and even surpassed it. Meyer at tosu is the only one i can think of. But then again if you move that school out of the big 10 and they would lose 3-4 games a year. But they have a good shot to make the playoffs this year.

Maybe oregon, but they havent been successful since we measure success in titles won.

The team that wins this year may not have to play an sec team. Just depends on what happens with bama and state the rest of the way. Which both teams could lose their final regular season game and could lose the seccg.

Saban, despite losing less then three games only once in 5 seasons he had convinced nearly everyone that it was all part of the "process."

Funny that so many people in this thread think 1 SEC championship in 7 years is acceptable.

This is one of the most ridiculous things I have read lately on here. What is acceptable to you? LSU is winning the SEC approximately once every 4 years, which seems reasonable.

SEC Championships (going back to 2000)

Alabama - 2
Auburn - 3
LSU - 4
Florida - 3
Georgia - 2
TBA - 1

2014 - TBA
2013 - Auburn
2012 - Alabama
2011 - LSU
2010 - Auburn
2009 - Alabama
2008 - Florida
2007 - LSU
2006 - Florida
2005 - Georgia
2004 - Auburn
2003 - LSU
2002 - Georgia
2001 - LSU
2000 - Florida

I didn't have an issue with Les until he gaslighted everyone after the 2009 game vs. Ole Miss, and threw Jefferson under the bus. That went against everything that I learned to value about the sport.

Besides that, I think he gets too much credit for the success of incredibly talented teams and a great overall football culture in Louisiana.

I love how you all manipulate stuff to fit your agenda
well the OP started with 2008 and so was the guy I was posting back to. So why not read a little before responding with your canned answer?

You're right. I'm totally expecting us to win it in 2015.

i can manipulate stats too, we won 2 in 4 years.
That's not a manipulation. No one was saying "Fire Les" in 2011.

how bout that "You realize we hired Les Miles over Bobby Petrino" thread?
bobby would have won more than 1 NC here if he was hired instead of les. lsu's offense with Russell & the wr's would have been unstoppable
