We were coming in having been crushed by Tennessee, who beat Bama on a last second FG.
Our offense was way worse. Our defense finally came around in the 2nd half of Ole Miss.
Bama was ranked higher with a Heisman QB.
This year, our offense is worlds better, defense is a little worse. Bama is much more vulnerable and we’re at Bama, where we have better success.

Gonna be a long 2 weeks….

Just good for thought.

Not many people thought we’d beat Bama. That INT by Young in the end zone set the tone

The defense is much worse. But if they can tackle better, blitz a little more often, look for the ball in the air, then they can at least be mediocre and get a few stops per game which is all the team needs.

That's an understatement.

This has always been sort of rat poison. Like the times when Fournette was supposed to run all over them and their rush defense was suspect. 2019 was the only exception when we went in with a good team and got a W.

Our defense was not good last year. It came together for a stretch. Hopefully we can duplicate that effort.

Defense last year stepped up in the redzone for the first three quarters in huge ways. Alabama was better, but we beat them in the redzone.

The first three quarters:

BAMA: four redzone trips: nine points
LSU: two redzone trips: 14 points

That's how you pull of upsets.

But our two most recent games were wins at Florida and a 3 quarter demolishing of a top 10 ranked Ole Miss.

We were a much bigger dog at home last year. I think like -13.5 last year at home and I’ve -4.5 for this game in Tuscaloosa.

This needs to be reduced.

Bama will have to score 45+ to beat us. Milroe can't do that. 30 won't cut it.

This "beat down" by Tennessee is just like the FSU game this year.

We did not get our asses kicked for 4 quarters. They ran away at the end so it looks worse than it is but it was not a "boat racing" like people want you to believe.

After last year's game Saban said BK is one of the last great tactician. We will be fine.
