And which positions should/would be left alone with the returning starters?

Most looking forward to the Sunday starting pitcher battle. It is obvious that Eades/Nola have the spots locked up for Friday/Saturday, but I would like to see who emerges in the Sunday role.

Running Back and Quarterback are really the only two.

Really looking forward to seeing which young LBs are going to step in and take charge. Does Tahj Jones come back hungry this year or does Kwon/Debo beat him out?

Looking forward to seeing someone step up on the secondary. I think incoming freshman might knock off Collins for the other CB spot next to Mills so it will interesting to see that shake out.

Obviously the DL is going to have some new faces. Rasco will start, but really looking forward to seeing what he can do in a full time role. Looking forward to seeing Gilmore and a remote possibility of Nkemdiche as freshmen.

I think Hill has RB by the reins, even with the return of Blue.

At WR I'm interested in seeing Dural because DD and the people who've seen him play had high praise and expectations for him.

I agree about CB. J. Mills has #1 on lock. He reminds me of a smaller version of PP7. #2 however, could be real interesting toward the beginning of the season.

I'm most looking forward to seeing how Dural and Avery work themselves into the rotation.

Don't forget about Quantavious Leslie as well.

i think the starting DTs are set, but with the youth, i'm interested to see who will make their way into the rotation. DE will be a very good battle to watch as well as Eric Reid's replacement. Faulk's replacement at LT will be something to watch. Other than that, we're pretty much set as to who will start. I guess there could be a battle between Blue and Hill for carries, but I'm hoping Hill will get the bulk

I don't really see this being much of a battle. That position is Ronald Martin's to lose.

LT and yes RT. We have a lot of talent on the OL and just because someone was plugged in doesn't mean you keep him there. IMO Alexander has to work hard to keep the starting position.

WRs--Where does Diarse and Dural fit in?

CBs--New guys and redshirts

Will he ever make it to campus?

Nice post. I forgot all about Faulk bolting to the NFL. Somehow I think Lael Collins moves over the LT this year. I think he is ready for that position after taking his SEC bumps last year.

Go ahead and realize now there is not going to be a battle for the QB position no matter how bad you dislike Mettenberger. He will be starting. Rivers will not. Deal with it.

Are we fairly sure of that? I was looking forward to him.

The nature of my post was to suggest that we should NOT in fact LEAVE ALONE the position of QB. Unfortunately, I know and everyone else knows that we will.

So you would rather go through the struggle of another first year starter in the SEC? Mett threw for almost 300 yards against Bama and 2 more fantastic games after that after he and the WRs got in sync and the OL started to actually block. But yeah lets go ahead and bring Rivers in just so we can "change it up" and watch another QB struggle to get going in the SEC.
