Might be because we have someone with the name Toliver on our football team.

and we have a sheppard too. when someone is talking about a major offensive threat or a qb, i doubt they are talking about chris tolliver or kelvin sheppard

this was a pointless post on your part

Well we have a Sheppard and a Shepard on the team.
Ditto for a Toliver and a Tolliver.
So which problem is tweaking your obsessive compulsive disorder - making sure people are talking about the right player, or spelling an individual's name correctly (or consistently)? Or both?
Maybe you should worry about something else.

listen frickface it is when someone is talking about a qb, they should not be thinking "oh yea we have kelvin sheppard on the team!"
same goes for terrance toliver and chris tolliver. terrance is a relevant member of the football team who could be an all-sec caliber player this year, while chris tolliver prob wont see the field
people should be able to decipher between these people by now

I love it when someone starts a thread to piss and moan about stupid shite and ends up committing the exact same thing in their rant. PRICELESS!

True dat.
So when someone types 'Sheppard will bring added versatility to our offense' you are actually confused about how a defensive back can do such a thing??
Most can read context rather than demanding literal perfection.
Try a little harder - context is the name of the game here.
You see, this is supposed to be as close to speaking face-to-face as possible. This is not a legal document issuing a warrant for arrest.

Josh Dworaczyk (Joshe, Geosh)

Its funny. Some people complain when we use abrv (like TT or RS) and then others bitch about correct spelling of the players name.
