Are they docking us for not being able to work out the kinks against Mcneese? Those guys are eerily on point. Compulsive gamblers check in here.

opened at -2.5 with LSU being the favorite
Now, it's -4.5 with LSU being the favorite...

Looks like the public likes us more than the sharks.

Opens at -2.5. People betting on LSU. Vegas moves the line to -4.5 to try to get as close to equal amounts of betters on both sides of the bet.

If I'm wrong, downvote me and give me the correct answer.

Right, which means that Vegas likes LSU as well. They're moving the line to try and get people to bet on Miss State. If they didn't like LSU they'd just keep the line as is

public is hammering LSU.

It'll get up to 5.5 or 6, then the sharps will bet it down to about 4.5 or 5 at game time, IMO.

Could have been a whale like AK Ichikawa laying large on LSU that caused the movement

Vegas guy told us last night that once it gets to 5 the sharks would bet it back down to 4.5, but they like the Tigers as well.

Everyone seems to think LSU is better than State, but on average no one is expecting a blow out. A good general rule on gambling if you want to make money anyway is never to bet on your team. I have never bet on LSU to win or lose. I have kept up with this and I would have lost much more than won in these situations despite probably 70% of LSU games I listed as don't bet either way because I cannot help myself from seriously trying to dissect their game with a critical eye. I still have P@G glasses in the good times and the bad.

Now this game might not be close either way. I think LSU will win, but because they didn't play McNeese I wouldn't bet on it anyway except for these scenarios. If the line moved to LSU -5.5 or more at kickoff, I would bet on State. If the line moved to State -.5 or more, I'd bet on LSU. The last situation is based on not being a LSU fan.

Betting to win is a serious endeavor that takes a lot of time and study. I'm glad I have a balanced life now which precludes me from gambling. Betting for fun and entertainment will lose you money in the long run, but you are getting what you pay for.

simply not true. If State were to win, it would be due to excessive costly penalties and losing the turnover battle by 3 or more. Even with that, it would be a close loss. However, if there is a blowout to happen, it will be administered by LSU. But, you are known as a negatiger on here, so I wouldn't expect anything less.

Go get you some boy. That is what the spread is on my site.

Yeah, that's bs. There are ususally games every year where it's like taking money from a baby. On the flip side, there are always games where one shouldn't touch LSU with a 10 ft pole. If you are objective and realistic, these aren't usually hard to spot. I am all over LSU this week....but I'm not 100% confident only due to LSU not playing and the possibility that LSU will play sloppy their first game. LSU is MUCH the more talented team, and it's not even close.

Only bet on LSU once. vs Oklahoma. Biggest bet I have ever made. Did not enjoy the game like I should have.

Because all the NFL talent that State left last season. It's Dak and the rest of the team. LSU is the dominant team here and should win by at least 6. I can't see State's offensive line pushing the LSU defense like last season. I had State as the 6th best team in the West this season.
