I would take that bet.

The longer it goes the less likely he plays.
#1 if struggling academically will he even be eligible
#2 if weight is what everyone says he will have a tough time seeing the field for any meaningful snaps

The update probably won't come, but you should be able to read between the lines. He is eligible academically, but the staff is holding him out. That's Les speak for "he made the grades, but they were bare minimum and we want them higher, he also skipped some class even though we told him it was his arse if he did." Probably will get another Les'ism on it between end of summer classes and beginning of fall camp, and even that may not even come.
