When a baseball player is on base, you often see them chatting with the defensive player who is covering that base....are they generally talking smack or just shooting the shite?....

I have a first baseman in his senior season in HS. Usually the convo is bullshitting or a compliment on a play or a hit. Very seldom is it smack he claims.

Yeah in my experience very rarely does it involve trash talking.

Most of the time the First Baseman will ask the runner if they have any pets and or hobbies. However during the later innings of the game the First Baseman is instructed to tell the runner usually his favorite color or favorite food depending on the inning.

Bossier, Airline, or Parkway?

In those days, Airline and Parkway had better looking women but Bossier had larger crowds and more choices. Hell, they brought cheerleaders in the Matt Ford days.

Baseball in Highschool is little different. You play the same kids from the same towns/schools the entire time growing up. So you know pretty much everyone. I agree with 99 percent shooting the shite. Now when I was a catcher I'd talk to the batter or the air or the dirt the entire at bat every at bat. I'm sure people got used to it ut never understood why people didn't do.it back to me??? Betas
