My LSU flag in my flower bed was old and tattered, so I got a shiny new flag for Christmas. How do I dispose of the old flag in a respectful manner? TYIA

Use it to cover the carcass of a dead Bama fan.

retiring a flag is reserved for the US and Sate flags. No need to do anything special for an LSU fan, just toss it if you don't want it any more. I would put it up in the garage though, but if for some reason you need to do something with it, cermonially burn it or bury it.

This is true, but if your point is an LSU flag means damn near as much to you as the Stars and Stripes then dispose of your banner accordingly.

Cut the "L" "S" and "U" letters from the field and burn the entire lot over a bed of hot coals. Playing the alma mater in the background is not required but would be a very nice touch.

Are you assuming the "we" part of "y'all" are unemployed, hopped up on meth and selling our kids at the expense of being enthusiastic fans?

Lighten the f*ck up. This is an LSU message board in the awful BCSCG lull. Christ.

Wrap it around an empty RC Cola bottle and throw it, left-handed, over the top of your pick-up's roof, at a speed limit sign while you are driving on a highway.

I've had the same LSU flag up the entire season and it's doing pretty well. Will have to give it a place of honor after we win the title.

Got 5 old ones that can no longer take the wind hanging on the walls in my garage. Best place IMO.
