9-3 is likely with a tougher schedule next year. BUT, if we got to 9-3 this year, with Miles' Ole Miss debacle and our shitty offense, we should do better next season.

Considering player loss
Schedule getting harder
Miles clock Management
and IF and this is a big IF
Crowton returns

one may see another 8-5...
although if Crowton leaves and LSU gets a viable replacement they could reach 10 wins with a bowl victory.

SECCG appearance at a minimum. Needs to win the conference IMO

I expect at least a one game improvement; if he wins the west then everyone should be happy

I'll be happy with 10-2 or 9-3 as long we don't get spanked by Bama, UF, and whoever else. In addition, he needs to absolutely dominate the cupcakes instead of playing to their level (as has been the case for his tenure here).

Acceptable is...

the team being prepared for each and every game

the coaches making solid halftime adjustments. ie. staying with a hot hand, not continuing schemes that arent working

the coaches utilizing our talent to the fullest.

turning "third and chavis" into a bad thing for the opposing offense.

no delay of game penalties after a time out

cut procedure penalties in half

have an offense that produces to the level of its talent.

If these criteria are met, I think we're in ATL in December and possibly booking rooms in Arizona for Jan.

or...for Miles muggers to continue hating him?...10-2, 11-1, 12-0, $EC championship, natcham game...still won't be enough for the congenitally delusional.

This kind of statement makes me think some of you believe nothing is wrong with this team.

Continue to be relevant in the SECW and national picture. Continue to win at a pace higher than any LSU coach not named Hal Hunter.

That's kind of my point, it is for the those who still support Miles and see him a "good" coach.

10-2 and a BCS bowl....we play most of our hard games at home and UF and Bama should be rebuilding somewhat next year.

win the west.

if miles loses to saban at home, that might be harder that most fans would stomach. it's the most important game miles will ever coach. 3 losses in a row would be huge (in a bad way).

I look at it as "what's realistic?" To me: 9-3 (3-1 OCC/6-2 SEC) or 10-2 (3-1 OCC/7-1 SEC). I think 10-2 would be pretty good given the difficulty of our schedule. As for Miles, I think he has to win the SEC West—or have a very legitimate reason for not doing so—to keep the wolves at bay. He just doesn't have any ground base of support at this point. The Fear the Hat thing is long gone.
