And his replacement can only win 5-6 games a year???

Also....are we "guaranteed" to get a "name" coach???

I'm somewhat dissatisfied with Les, but......it could be MUCH worse......!!!!!

What if we fire Miles and his replacement has 18 undefeated seasons/championships?

This is fun.

I always have the same response for you hand wringers with this crap:

You do understand that whether LSU gets rid of Miles today or not, that he's not gonna be here forever anyway...right?

It's simple. We know what we are getting with Miles. We have seen his ceiling in 2011 and that was with a veteran team with lots of leadership, and we have seen his lows like 2008 and this season. I would rather roll the dice and get something better than watch Les continue his decline upon our program.

Replacing Miles is not going to be easy. They have to find a home run coach or look like fools for getting rid of him.

Honest question:

What, other than recruiting, do you really think Les-and ONLY Les-brought to this football team?

Can't it be much better?

I'll take our current record and those losses to those teams from a different coach as long as we looked like we belonged.

We didn't, not even a little bit. That is sad given what's put into this program.

Some of you are just now believing what some of us already knew. Change is not only needed, it's necessary.

It could be much better too! If it is worst, we will switch coaches again.

If the decision makers had a crystal ball and could see that the next guy would only match the last 4 years, I guarantee you they would choose not to spend $20 million to get it. So this statement above might be your personal opinion, but it's somewhat emotional and silly.

You obviously missed the point.

You're going to have to edit what you said, because, with little wiggle room, your statement indicates that you would prefer prettier losses and the same results with a new coach than with Miles. My response is if that same line of thinking is normal among decision makers, we are fricked and about to waste $20 million.

We're about to find out.
IF, it's done now. Even if he comes back next year, he's a lame duck.
QB Franks is gone.
Alleva will earn his paycheck now.
AD's have one job - hire a football coach.
You mess that up, you don't get a do over.

How about LSU just throw in the towel and say eff it. We'll just wait until Saban retires for a shot at something instead of trying to make our own destiny.
