What if LSU doesn't keep CEO for head coach?

Does that mean CEO does what he did at USC and resign from the coaching staff? This is a sucky scenario. LSU would obviously want to keep CEO, but the problem is that there is no other promotion to give him. He's already recruiting coordinator, and Aranda will be the DC next year. CEO wants the LSU head coaching job more than any other job in the country, that's obvious. Maybe if he finishes the season strong and doesn't get the HC job, then he is bitter and leaves.

Point is, we need to keep him somehow if he doesn't get the HC job, but I'm scared he will leave.

I will be pretty upset if our next head coach was a position coach.
As much as i respect and love Coach O i think lsu needs to do better than him if we truly want to challenge bama for sec west titles.

Im more afraid of losing Aranda than Coach O.

We've won championships without him, we can do it again.

He's arguably the best recruiter in the country and arguably the best defensive line coach in the country. He is extremely valuable to LSU as a position coach and recruiting coordinator

If we bring in Herman or Sean Payton, then we make O Assoc Head Corch (Shout out to Fla Congresswoman) and DL coach so Jenkins can get back to his retirement before he passes out. He also has the option to be recruiting coordinator if he wants it or let D Craig keep that title. They pay him $800-$1M salary guaranteed for 5 years. That way he knows he is secure with pay and a job.

If he declines that then the cherry on top is that he is Guaranteed the Head Position ($3M Contract if he becomes coach- 3 years) when it next becomes open, and as long as he wants to stay here his salary jumps 7% per annum while waiting for that job. He would be making $1M+ per year for lets say 4 years and our next coach bolts or does not do well, then O takes over with the 3 year contract stated above.

This way, the AD says we should have kept him after the 2016 season, but now we got him and for only $3M per year for 3 years. If he does well, then he gets the $5M contract and by that time he will ride that 10 years until he is 67 with 2 championships!!

How's that?
