What if FSU is actually a solid team?

Clemson and Florida are the only good teams on FSU’s schedule and they get both of them at home. If FSU beats Clemson they’re very likely playing in the CFP.

Yes, I understand LSU looked like dog shite on Saturday but, in the not unthinkable event that FSU turns out to be a very solid CFP caliber team, a one point loss to them to start the season really doesn’t look so bad in hindsight.

Verse is a stud, no clue how he ended up unrecruited and at Albany, but FSU found a gem.

Reminded me of Demarcus Ware terrorizing our OL and Randall for Troy in 04.

Week one is not gonna tell us how good any team is. Given our past season opening losses, I’d imagine that FSU is played out of their minds and will drop at least four games to ACC teams.

They aren't. I actually disagree with JP on this. I think his original gut instinct is correct. They may be in contention for #1 in the ACC...but I think most teams in the SEC wouldn't have had the time we had. And we almost won with the garbage we have on the field right now.

They are a solid team. Nothing special though. Comparing them to SEC I would say they compare to the average A&M team. LSU is the team that needed a warmup game. The amount of roster turnover and new coaching showed it’s ugly face.

We were playing pretty well at the end of the year last year. Had the lead over Clemson with 7 minutes left in the 4th qtr. Only lost to UF by 3. Travis missed alot of that game. I think solid is the right term.

They are not as shitty as some posters make them out to be, but they are also not close to elite either. They are decent and will be 9-3 or so.

I dunno how the whole season will go but there's a good chance they start 5-0.

We practically begged them to put the game away and they couldn’t. They’re not a solid team.

People are in denial trying to make themselves feel better. LSU may improve greatly down the road this season. No need to sugar coat LSU lost to a very average Florida State team.

Just because UCLA wasn’t doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t. Norvell was a damn good coach at Memphis. This is his 3rd year, they better be improved. A lot of people give him a bit of a pass for the Covid year. That shite affected different teams very differently.

Nope. We literally did everything to lose and only lost by 1.

They had a game plan that they executed well on offense and defense, once we adjusted (way too late) they struggled.

FSU is an average ACC team, which isn't saying much. They'd probably be dead last if in the SEC West.

Repeating this same line.

Every LSU fan said the same thing and they got what, 7-8 wins last year? Florida State is the same thing. 6-8 win team again. We have a lot of work to do.
