I remember how disappointed Ohio State was about being #2 having to face Clemson. I really loved Ryan Day’s reaction like he just found out his dog died or something lol. Coach O, Joe Burrow, and the team didn’t care what they were ranked and who they played. "We'll play anybody, anywhere," quarterback Joe Burrow said after his team's 37-10 win over Georgia, per Alex Scarborough of ESPN. "I said in the postgame, you can take us to Canada, and we'll play on a gravel lot. That was a team that feared no one and knew they were going to kick your arse!

Ryan Day was on ESPN, practically begging for the committee not to match them up with Clemson. It was pathetic.

I low key think that helped us get the #1 seed. Ohio state begged for it, even trying to sell the fact that they let Wisconsin hang around made them better, but lsu said send us anywhere. I think that gave us an edge

Another thought about this is that the attitude of 2019 is still in this group. People who saw the week of spring practice before they shut it off including some recruits on campus said the team started out with a full work effort like they ended last season. People were astonished at the effort. That is why it is vital we have a season so we can keep extending it,

At that point I knew there was no way we could lose.

What I loved was that after Texas game I knew the offense was real, the leadership came from the team itself, and I never had to worry about Tigers ever losing!

i have never ever in the past been able to watch LSU football KNOWING WE WOULD WIN!!

Wotta team, wotta season!!

Praise God!We were blessed!!

I dont think that was a giant trait. My word they did have Joe Burrow. Id have been more shocked that they thought any1 could stop him, maybe even a few NFL teams. We're about to find out.

I can’t agree more. It was obviously a message O was pushing in the program because everyone said it. I said after the conference championship games and Ohio State was making their case while O and Burrow was like we don’t care just tell us where to go and what time to be there.

Ohio State and Clemson thought they were the best team in the country. LSU Knew they were and just wanted to show everybody.
