I expect to see us try and run the football. never mind arky has a damn good run defense and a poor pass defense.

I expect arkys qb to carve our defense up with the short pass. everyone else has. we, however will not give up as many points other teams have. they will score first and could get us down two scores early.

putting those two together prepare for a frustrating game. arky's not as good as bama so our run game will fare somewhat better. but we will not open it up until arky has a lead. and then if we regain the lead, we will sit on it by running the ball exclusively.

these are my expectations based on past games. it will be a squeaker and I think we pull it out because it's at home and harris can sling it when needed.

I can't say that you're wrong.

Although, Miles may open it up a bit more for Harris simply because we're at home.

Need the defense to come up with big plays. Got to stop teams on 3rd and long and 4th and short. Hope the run game can sustain drives, and I believe it will.

Back to back OT games could be trouble for their defense. I wouldn't be surprised if it was tight through 3 quarters and we got some separation in the 4th

their TE passing game is their signature pass play. we should expect that.

my sole purpose in this thread is to communicate that we are not going to change who we are. we run the ball until we are stopped and we run the ball when we have a lead. that's why so many of our games are so close. our opponents know this and I think miles know's they know this. I still expect us to win but in "heart attack" fashion.

Would not surprise me at all if Miles opens up the offense with all sorts of formations and plays we haven't seen all year and blows Arky out. This will cause all the Miles pumpers to pound their chest and run their mouths while the rest of us say "where the hell was this a week ago"...

You're wrong. Arky gave up 6.33 ypc and 3 TDs to Texas Tech, and the last two games they have given up 6.04 ypc 3 TDs (FCS team) and 6.94 ypc 4 TDs (Ole Miss). They have given up 13 rushing TDs in the last 3 weeks, and 16 total in these 3 games mentioned plus Auburn.

Add that to their horrific pass defense, and we should be able to score almost at will. Defending will be the problem. I still see us winning by at least 2 TDs.

Les says we're going to practice the "throw the ball up in the air in overtime" play. We'll win on that.

We are all nuts if we think we will beat arky down... I say they will win. Simply bc they will probably want it more.

Yeah, because a team that still has a chance at the playoffs doesn't want it more.

LSU beat an 8-2 TAMU team 34-10 in 2013 after losing 38-17 on the road to Bama where our QB was sacked four times in a row, and had to drag himself off the ground. Where we averaged 1.39 ypc and 1 TD on the ground (vs 2.08 ypc 1 TD in 2015). LSU ended up putting up 324 rushing yards (5.9 ypc) 193 passing yards (9.2 ypa) and 4 offensive TDs.

I'll be surprised if Arky has gas left in the take for a heavy rushing team after what they went through the last 4 weeks.

so what are we doing here? We are simply discounting the Auburn and South Carolina games right?
