I think the issue with Pendergast might be that Alleva didnt give Miles a blank check to use. Miles would likely want to pair him with O, but there's not enough money.

If true and the QB position does not improve next year, Coach Miles could be out of a job by 2017. You guys know the drill, first the OC has to go (2016), then the Coach (2017). It would be nice at that time, if the AD went with him. There is no reason for LSU football to be subpar. Right now, LSU is an 8 or 9 win school with poor QB play with a high level of talent, which is unacceptable. Our defense and offense needs be in sync with one another to have a great year for championships, not a good year.

The Coaches salaries are too high for such low production. If the administration went with Performance-Based Contracting, the Coaches would coach harder to merit those salaries with accountability, but we know that will not happen.

Sounds like it may be that the OKLAHOMA people want LSU to take a problem off their hands.

Yeah, I thought that Miles eased Chief out the door with a Machavellian flourish because, all the while, he had Clancy in his back pocket ready to be hired yesterday.

I guess Miles wasn't just acting when he looked stunned.
