Double coverage

Can't see the coverage

it was double coverage. the safety started cheating over before the ball was snapped, I remember spotting that while watching live. it looked like Jordan was looking right at him as he was cheating, too. couldn't believe he didn't try something else, whether throwing it away or just running forward (like his "4 yd sneak TD" vs. Ole Miss last yr).

then again, I guess I can.

Well JJ's downfall has always been holding on to the ball for too long.

Which is exactly why JL was a better fit against some opponents. I still say on third and long, Lee should be in the game. He was affected by the non-called late hit at 'Bama but I think he's shaken that off by now. He still leads the SEC in passing efficiency and can make more big plays with his arm than JJ.

Completely disagree. Lee's weakness is handling pressure which is exactly what he'll see on 3rd and long. JJ holds the ball too long but he is definitely not afraid to stand tall and deliver a pass while taking a hit.

As long as he doesn't get touched.

So one throws it too early and the other throw it too late!

I got some good news...Both have one game left

Pretty much. Neither one is all that good at passing the ball.

slow dropback, slow read, no delivery. Gee, what a surprise. That's a three step drop. Has to be quick. JJ needs to reads some books on the subject.

Perfect answer. No need for more response. JJ doesn't read and react quickly and efficiently. For more information watch Aaron Rodgers and his release times.

I would blame this on the play selection. Great play, don't get me wrong but it's not JJ's forte.

Yeah, it's ridiculous that our QBs aren't as good as the best QB in the NFL.

And that's definitely not a perfect answer. If you would read the rest of the thread you would see why more responses are needed.

For those that played offense, here's the summary - OC calls a one receiver pass play while in our own 5 yd line - WK defense pulls a zone front, we take 3 seconds to pass, and we face a busted block.

Don't always blame our QBs for this - always count
4 Mississippi seconds as a standard, and give the QB an out.

If I'm not mistaken, our coaches took blame for this play call on the Monday morning show after.

BTW -
That's how Georgia worked us the 1st half with their D - Georgia played zone and we played man to man block. They ate our lunch on the first - Jefferson did make a few bad throws too- but after the half we adjusted and played zone block and they played zone block which allowed us to make passing and running plays.

In football, I don't care if its Drew Brees or Tim Tibow, time of protection and timing of routes is key. When you get a chance, look how much protection Cam Newton gets these days versus last year at Auburn - then you can see why his passing numbers are great this year.

No worries, I don't think we call this WK play again this year, specially against BAMA.

Re-watched the vid. Ok yea calling a one route pass play was risky and he was covered. This play, not 100% on JJ. Still think he should have seen a big OL in his face but you can't tell me JJ doesn't get sticky fingers in situations where he needs to get the ball off.

same old shite? maybe. id take our record progressively getting better over a better qb and us not playing for a bcsnc.

Lets not forget we only have 1 good wr. No elite ones. Obviously the younger guys could get better, but as of today i say RR then a huge drop off. Remember, we still werent slinging the ball aroun with Lee. Our offense isnt built for that.

The play calling still has been les then desirable during portions of the season. The play yall are talking about, run jj up the middle, run ford up the middle, then let JJ pass the ball backed up in his endzone. Why even put a qb that notoriously holds on to the ball in that situation? Seriously? wtf were they thinking?

This! I really don't understand the bickering about the QB position. JJ and JL are both below average QBs.

You gotta love the rant...

We're 13-0, SEC Champions, Unanimous #1...

And folks are picking apart a play from a game that we won 42-9 almost a month ago.

Will January 9th ever get here?

Yeah I sure did compare a seasoned 3yr starting QB to a professional QB. of course Rodgers has years o experience on any college player a-hole, just benchmarking. You don't think some rookie QBs in the NFL ball out? JJ should be compared to professional QBs. Just like Tebow IMO, he doesn't belong there.
