Saban had no less than 3 losses per year while at LSU, except for the 03 NC year.

People in LA want to suck Saban's bone, and bash Miles for 1 and 2 loss seasons. Dumbasses.

I think, truly, it is a pity not to have ties ( in the NFL and College)..

I mean, in season, a tie is a tie is a tie, at least it should be...

Miles biggest loses were that year he won the whole damn thing, were they not?

To Kentucky and Arkansas.....

he did have one loss to Ole Miss in 2008, however, I think, but don't think LSU was not ranked highly or ranked at all at that stage in the season.

BUT! Miles didn't lose in regulation to KY and ARK

I mean when we are going off computers anyway, why should we not allow ties?

Furthermore!!!!1

All this records (in game records (ncca and school)) are being shattered by OTs

Why the hell not!

Ties could mean more positive things in the standings, more often than not, than negative things.. I think so anyway

Saban did great for this program, and Miles is doing great for this program. I give miles the benefit of the doubt, we were simply not talented this year. Our weaknesses in secondary were exploited and Chavis will get that fixed. As for the offense, talented or not, we always struggle.

Miles has the same number of undefeated and 1 loss seasons as Mark Richt.

new qb equals low production in the SEC. We got better as the year went along.

Spin it as you will. No coach is ever going to go undefeated national champs every year. Not even at the almighty LSU. Most of you guys are clueless about how hard it really is to do what Miles has done.

How many games where LSU was heavily favored have we barely gotten by? If he only had the killer instinct he would be perfect. I wish he had a little Spurrier in him as far as finishing games comfortably. I'm behind The Hat, I hope he learns to adjust to teams now that's he's a member of the 4mil club.

I was just playing devil's advocate. I recognize that Miles is going to finish as LSU's winningest coach of all time. 7 more years will put him at 15 years. I would guess that he'll win the SEC at least one more time during that time frame and play for a NC at least one more time.

That is pretty impressive. And, going undefeated is about to be pointless once the Plus 1 starts.

Last year we were taking mercy knees against SEC teams with 5 mins left. We blew everyone out. This year had lots if adversity and we still went 10-2. Amazing job by staff and players if you ask me.

Yeah because scoring 20 points and gaining 306 total yards against the vaunted Arkansas defense was definitely better. We are inconsistent. Say what you want, offense will always struggle.

Oh wait, it was their bowl game right?

Saban didn't always have that killer instinct, now look at him. He has let his offense open up the playbook a ton (many would say to a fault and by neglecting one of the best running games in the country). I would love to see Miles go for the throat more often. But, I think he weighs the pros and cons and feels that, against certain competition, controlling the clock, limiting turnovers, and playing great defense is a better approach than taking chances on offense and losing the game.

He has his approach. The Saints have their approach. The Saints would've beat the 49ers with Miles' approach. And, LSU would have beat Bama with the Saints' approach. Sometimes that kind of stuff happens.

That doesn't even include losing your starting RB at the beginning of the year or having 3 LBs get hurt against Florida. If our LBs are healthy against Florida, they can't run the ball in the 2nd half and we have a much better chance of winning that game, even with our offense.

You can't compare saban to miles...it's like comparing miles to gundy.

FYI, Gundy win % at OSU is better than CLM win % at OSU.
